Water Cooler Talk from Two Guys Wearing Sweaters
Alrighty, it's time for our first impressions of Survivor II: The Australian Outback!
We had a small Super Bowl party that quickly transformed into a Survivor party once the Ravens finally got done pounding the Giants' butts all over the place. Were we the only ones who would have been perfectly happy if they had just ended the game after the third quarter when it became obvious that it was over?
Well, we didn't get to know Amber too well on this episode. In fact, none of us recall her uttering a word during the entire show. And this is probably just as well... she didn't come off as being obnoxious enough to be voted off or anything.
Other observations... Ok, what was the deal with the girl that was playing the drums while Amber and that guy were trying to start a fire? I mean, seriously... what was the point of that? And how about Rodger already tearing his Bible apart for fire? Either he's really a follower of Rudy from Survivor I (who said his only use for a Bible on the island would have been for toilet paper), or they're getting pretty desperate pretty fast!
How 'bout some fruit? I'm personally going to make sure I cut open every piece of fruit I ever eat again thanks to this episode. Sean nearly got a hernia from laughing after someone asked "Are those bugs?" after they cut open the fruit. Well, duh.
We also got quite a kick out of the dude who stood there looking for someone to hug after the Ogakor Tribe won the Immunity Challenge. Everyone else was embracing, and the dark-haired guy (maybe it was Kel) stood there in a desperate attempt to find a hug-ee. Poor dude.

Several people have already tripped our "Annoy-O-Meter," and the biggest offender has already been kicked from the show. Our first impression of Debb was, "Whoa, it's the New Sue! Only somehow even more obnoxious!" Apparently her tribemates felt the same.
Seems like Kimmi is getting on the nerves of some folks, too. Personally, I wasn't too bothered by her; she could grow on me. Then again, if I was tired and she wouldn't shut up, I'd probably have to get out the magic pen to vote for her too.
Well, it's really really late... so we'll sign off for now! Hopefully we'll get to see more of Amber on Thursday night -- go get 'em!
