There are those who see an entire universe where another sees nothing, and that virtue develops thanks to the concept of dimensional perspective, in the literal and metaphorical sense; and that is what the work of the Portuguese graffiti artist Odeith is based on.
Some artists, like Odeith, take 3D graffiti art to a whole new level; using spray paint to create incredibly detailed optical illusions, play with the mind and sight of any viewer.
The popular artist is known and recognized in the world of interventions and dimensional urban art; his mural individuals have made him have more than 500,000 followers on Instagram.
Recently he surprised people with his incredible ability once again, this time, by completely transforming an old cement block into a broken down bus, which even mutates his perspective as seen in daylight or nightlight.
Odeith also plays with generating expectation; He posted a photo of the concrete block with the question: “What do you think is going to be painted this time?“
The artist confessed that he was not really inspired to create the incredible work of art he did when he first saw the concrete block but, the next day, he went to the same place and completed the painting in 10 hours, using approximately 30 aerosol cans making a graffiti that he defines as a step further in his work.
Odeith, currently residing in Lisbon, works as a full-time artist and, among his international clients, are The Coca-Cola Company, Samsung or London Shell.
Nothing is as it seems and, even less, in the hands of someone with the ability and talent of Odeith.
Simply fantastic, what do you think about it?
