Water Cooler Talk from Two Guys Who Look Alarmingly Similar

Week 4

Well, it was definitely a devastating episode for us here around the water cooler. Not because all of the Survivors got all drenched in a horrible storm. Not because Chapera finally lost an Immunity Challenge. Not because we had to endure more blurry shots of Rich and "Little Richard." No, we're a little ticked because a certain spouse of ours had Rob Cesternino's name in her office pool, and as a result we're effectively screwed out of a possible $100 prize. Thanks, Rob.

Tonight's episode did indeed begin with a rather moist storm. The Chapera gang stayed relatively dry, thanks to Boston Rob's manly construction efforts. Rob noted that the "watuh" was a bit excessive nonetheless. The rainy night prompted Rob and Amber to get nice and close so they could, well, strengthen their alliance, so to speak. Their alliance was getting strong enough that the other Rob got out his trusty Magic 8 Ball, which read "They're Gonna Do It."

Rob's Magic 8 Ball knows all.

Over at the Saboga Tribe, Rupert conceded that digging a big pit in an attempt to make a shelter may have been a little bit of a misjudgement. It did make for a fine aquarium, but it turns out that an aquarium is only so handy when you're sitting in front of an ocean.

In the morning, the Sabogans examined their hands, which were nearly as wrinkly as Rich's butt. Jerri was distraught to the point where she could barely even whine.

At the Mogo Mogoan camp, the gang worked to regroup and build a new fire. Richard headed into the ocean where he was able to spear three eels. The eels were easy to catch because they were caught off guard, laughing so hard at the size of Rich's "spear."

Rich shows off several long, slippery, slender objects.

Soon it was time for the Reward Challenge, which offered the winner a brand new crapper, as well as some other lovely hygiene items. While preparing for the challenge, Sue and Rich exchanged disturbing barbs with one another, and at one point Sue said something about Rich not giving her his bone, or something. We don't recall exactly what they said, because we had to cover our ears for fear of permanent psychological damage at that particular moment.

The challenge was for each tribe member to match items they had in a box with the same items from another competitor's box. The tribe who matched the most items would win the Dream Bathroom. There may have even been a special edition Gillette Razor featuring Colby on the package.

Since the challenge involved brains, Tom and Sue naturally sat out for Chapera. Colby sat out for the Mogo Mogoans. After several rounds of the game and about 100 witty zingers at one another, Amber's Chapera gang won the prize, which undoubtedly led to a charming evening of power crapping in their new toilet.

In addition to the bathroom items, the Chaperans also earned the clue that would lead them to the last key for their Mystery Box of Goodies. With the clue in hand, the gang was able to locate their key after just a few short days of digging up the entire beach and fighting over the meaning of "10 paces."

While the Chapera gang enjoyed their winnings, which included some extra-strength whisky, the Saboga tribe worked together to get their shelter situation fixed. Rupert brought in a nice fish, and Jenna L. was so excited she nearly spawned with it.

Before we knew it, it was time for the Immunity Challenge. Each team had to choose the member with the biggest mouth to lead the remaining blindfolded members to a bunch of puzzle pieces which were strewn all over the beach. Once they had all of their pieces, each tribe had to build a giant Rubik's Cube. Alicia, Rich and Jerri were chosen as the Loud Mouths for their respective tribes.

Rob C. and Amber pretend to be concerned about everyone who bonked into one another, but it was way too funny to witness.

During the course of the challenge, several people wound up getting thwacked by giant puzzle pieces. Big Tom suffered some serious brain injuries, but no one was able to notice the difference.

In the end, the Chapera gang failed to get their puzzle together, sending them to their first dreaded Tribal Council meeting with Jeff "Pretty Boy" Probst.

After some debate back at camp the Chaperans decided that, in the grand scheme of things, the strong players were better to keep around than Captain Comedy, so Rob C. was sent to walk the plank. We may make fun of him from time to time, but we will indeed miss Rob. He has always made the show more fun and interesting. But we will be sending him a bill for the $100 we won't be winning in the office pool.
